Ebere Okereke

Senior Technical Advisor, Health Institutional Capacity Strengthening Programme


Dr Ebere Okereke is a public-health physician specialising in global health security and health-system strengthening. She has won awards for her work promoting women and under-represented groups in public-health leadership, recognised by the British Medical Association as a role model for women in academic medicine, and by the UK Government Science and Engineering Profession as an Inspirational Leader in Science and Engineering.   

Ebere is currently a Senior Technical Advisor at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and honorary Senior Public Health Advisor to Africa CDC. She is co-leading the Africa CDC-led Partnerships for African Vaccine Manufacturing  

Ebere is an experienced trainer, coach and mentor, and lecturer.  

Ebere is a graduate of the University of Nigeria College of Medicine. She is a Fellow of the UK Faculty of Public Health and of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine Executive Leadership Programme, an Associate Fellow at Chatham House, and a foundational Faculty and Steering Committee member of the Africa CDC Kofi Annan Global Health Leadership Programme.
