OB has a background in strategic intelligence analysis and has worked in the past on forecasting economic, political, terrorism, war and civil unrest risks across sub-Saharan Africa. His work has covered most sectors and countries and has been used to advise Lloyd’s insurers, multinationals and governments who have assets or investments in the region. In addition to non-violent risks, his work has covered Somali piracy, Niger Delta oil security and a host of other security-related issues. He has also worked in finance and investments and fund management. OB was the Director of The Situation Room at the National Ebola Response Centre in Sierra Leone during the West African Ebola Crisis of 2014 – 2016. In recognition of his role in ending the outbreak, he was awarded a Gold Medal by The President of Sierra Leone and appointed an Officer of The Order of The British Empire by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. OB is currently the TBI Country Head in The Gambia and Senior COVID-19 Adviser at the Institute.
