Ruti Winterstein is a political and policy adviser for Israel in the Middle East team at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. She leads on outreach to the Government of Israel, both the political and security establishments, to promote the agenda of closer regional cooperation on matters of common concern and to advocate significant improvements in the West Bank and Gaza. In addition, she provides analysis and advice on Israeli politics as it relates to and affects the goals of achieving greater regional cooperation, and reintegration of Gaza and the West Bank.
Ruti has served as an adviser to Tony Blair since 2007, and as the Office of the Quartet Representative’s principal policy adviser for Israel, she worked with the Israeli authorities to implement the agenda of Palestinian economic development. Her past experience includes as political analyst in the British Embassy in Tel Aviv, and as a risk analyst with a leading Israeli bank.
