Tim Bromfield

Regional Director for East Africa, Tony Blair Institute for Global Change


Tim leads the Institute's Governance work in East Africa. He and his team are focused on supporting governments to deliver their development agenda. He works in Kigali and the team focuses on structural transformation, particularly: exports diversification, improvements to the enabling environment and capacity building. Prior to this Tim worked as the Institute's Country Head for Rwanda and advisor to the Office of the President and the Ministry of Finance in Sierra Leone.

Before joining the Institute, Tim was a management consultant at Accenture, where he helped set up The Guardian’s Katine Project in Uganda with AMREF. He left Accenture in 2009 to set up an environmental education charity called Atlantic Rising.
