Toyin co-leads on Institute-wide Africa manufacture and investments to spur export-oriented industrial growth by engaging internal/external stakeholders to shape policy dialogues and attract investments to support the development of selected industrial value chains with a current focus on building capacity for vaccine, PPE, pharma manufacture in Africa. She is supporting the design of a holistic strategic plan to unlock high value and social impact on bankable opportunities for targeted African governments' manufacturing initiatives. Toyin also supports the development of thought leadership pieces that provide analytical insights and foster collaboration with external strategic partners as well as across the Institute's agribusiness/food, technology, energy and investment advisory teams. She recently served as Strategic Advisor to the Hon. Minister and Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, RWANDA, where she supported its trade and industry divisions and provided sectoral insights to optimise Made in Rwanda products, Trade Rwanda with regional economic communities (EAC, COMESA as well as with countries of the Commonwealth). Toyin supported the development of Rwanda’s Industrial and Trade Policies, Trade in Service and National Cross-border Strategies. Prior to working at TBI, she spent a decade-and-a-half across private-sector manufacturing as well as on consulting roles in England and Africa.
