Jose Mejia

Jose is an economic-policy expert with a focus on technology diffusion and evidence-based policymaking. At TBI, he leads work that identifies the critical enablers of technological adoption across regions and sectors, offering actionable strategies to harness innovation as a driver of inclusive economic growth.

Before joining TBI, Jose served as Economic Advisor to the Vice President of Colombia, where he supported national strategies for science, technology and innovation. He contributed to Colombia’s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, leading the implementation of the Regulatory Reform Policy.

Through his work, Jose is committed to equipping governments with the tools they need to improve living standards and national well-being.
