Michael Purdon

Mike advises Timor-Leste’s top leadership on foreign policy and institutional strengthening.

A former diplomat for the United Kingdom, he supported Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and his key negotiators as they secured peace with the FARC rebel group. He has also worked as a commercial-strategy consultant and now combines his private and public-sector experience in support of Timor-Leste.

He joined TBI in August 2024 and through his work hopes to support countries to engage in a more equitable international system.
