Pedro Simão

Acting Country Director, Brazil

Pedro leads the Institute’s efforts to support the Brazilian government on key foreign policy and climate initiatives. His work is focused on positioning the country as a leader in South-South international relations, with a fundamental role in shaping global climate and foreign-policy agendas.

In his previous role supporting the government of Mozambique, Pedro worked with the economy and finance minister to design and implement a programme to invigorate economic transparency, the business environment and advance large-scale green industrialisation.

Pedro remains driven by a commitment to advancing sustainable development and improving living standards through practical, actionable solutions.
