Robert Johnson

Robert leads our data-science team, where he applies advanced analytics to extract insights from complex data sets and develop tools that enhance decision-making. His work focuses on integrating data science into governance to improve policy outcomes.

Previously, as a data scientist in the UK Cabinet Office’s Covid-19 taskforce, his modelling helped inform key government decisions, including the choice not to impose a lockdown over Christmas 2022.

Robert has also pioneered machine-learning methods to support law enforcement in tackling alcohol-related crime. He joined TBI in August 2024.

Robert is one of the creators of TBI’s Disruptive Delivery Data Explorer.
