Shayan Talabany

Shayan is an expert in geopolitics and specialises in regional politics, security and conflict analysis in the Middle East, including national and foreign policies of Middle Eastern states, and the role of non-state and external actors in the region.

Her work highlights the need to better understand the leadership, opportunities, skills and dynamism, particularly among youth, that exist in the region.

Before joining TBI, Shayan worked in Parliament and later for the Conservative Middle East Council as Head of the Gulf and Levant Programmes, where she briefed ministers, special advisors, parliamentarians and peers engaged in the biggest challenges facing the region.
