Leaders’ Voices brings together government leaders past and present from around the world—presidents, ministers, mayors and permanent secretaries—with members of the Institute’s Governance team to share their reflections on what it takes to lead reform and deliver change in office.
In this first episode, Kate Dooley is joined by Malado Kaba, minister of economy and finance of Guinea from 2016 to 2018. In a wide-ranging conversation, they discuss the politics of reform, Guinea’s bilateral relationship with China and the wider question of China’s role as a partner to African governments.
