David Adler is a Fellow at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. His area of expertise is housing. As a Rhodes Scholar at New College, Oxford, he most recently examined the drivers of the British housing crisis and the rise of “Generation Rent.”
David’s previous research focused on India and Mexico. At the Centre for Policy Research in New Delhi, he investigated the Delhi Development Authority and the role of bureaucracy in slum redevelopment. As a Fulbright Scholar at the Colegio de México in Mexico City, he developed an inclusive housing strategy for the Housing Commission of the Mexican Senate.
David has written for a variety of publications, including Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, and The Guardian. At the Institute, David will build on his work to date to develop policy solutions and contribute to the wider debate around the challenges of the welfare state.
