Antonia Battaglia
Senior Advisor, Strategy & Partnerships
Dr Antonia Battaglia produces analysis and strategic thinking on European affairs, focusing on European Union foreign policy and enlargement.
She works closely with TBI Strategic Counsellor Sanna Marin and coordinated the former Finland prime minister’s visit to the EU in 2024. She also spearheaded a focus group on relations between the EU and a major Asian country.
Before joining TBI, Antonia served in the United Nations in various capacities, including at the UN mission in Kosovo. Through that experience, she worked alongside Secretary-General Kofi Annan, several NATO commanders and multiple EU member-state governments.
Antonia also worked for several years at the European Commission on neighbourhood and enlargement negotiations. She holds a PhD in Political Philosophy and International Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles with a published thesis on secession.
