Barbara-Chiara Ubaldi

Barbara-Chiara leads TBI’s work on applying technology, including AI, in government, drawing on her expertise in digital transformation and government innovation. Her work focuses on empowering heads of state to harness digital tools and AI to transform the way they lead, elevate performance and deliver. She has previously helped design digital policies, strategies and tools for leaders and advised governments on developing national digital transformation and AI strategies. Barbara-Chiara previously worked at the United Nations and later as Head of the Digital Government and Data Unit at the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development. She has led efforts with advanced economies to establish common policy standards for the fair and ethical use of technology that have since become global benchmarks.
