Joni Smith

Joni leads TBI’s global political engagement, building relationships with senior leaders across the United Kingdom, United States, European Union and beyond. With more than 20 years of experience in international affairs and government relations, she plays a central role in connecting policymakers, institutions, and private-sector leaders around shared global challenges.

She previously served in senior roles in the Scottish government, including as Scottish Affairs Counsellor to the United States in DC and Deputy Director in the Brussels office. During her time in government, she also played a key role in major events including the delivery of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
