Kengo Shibata

Kengo works at the intersection of science, emerging technology and public policy, with expertise spanning innovation ecosystems and neurotechnology across the UK and the world. He aims to help build innovation systems in which research, capital and policy reinforce one another to enable responsible, large-scale impact.

Kengo completed a PhD in Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford, during which he was published in leading journals. He subsequently worked in early-stage deep-tech venture capital at Zinc VC and as a venture partner to a Japanese fund, bringing insight across research, investment and commercialisation.
