Shahbaz helps governments and corporate decision-makers understand key geopolitical developments and create practical solutions. At TBI, he has identified key resilience-building measures in the wake of the Hormuz crisis. Through his continued work he aims to foster greater international cooperation and shared prosperity.

Prior to joining TBI, Shahbaz’s career spanned management consulting, environmental and economic consulting, and public service. At the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, he served as Head of Public Finance and Economics for British Overseas Territories, where he helped unlock financing for recovery and reconstruction in the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
