Georgina Hutchinson is a senior advisor in the Governance team at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. Based in London, she works on policy and innovation. Building on her policy research on the impact of the 4IR on development, she and her team are developing and implementing pilots to advise governments in Africa on how to prepare for the digital age. This includes diagnostics and strategic advice on the implementation steps necessary to harness the socio and economic opportunities of advanced technologies and the digital economy.
Georgina has previously advised the Governments of Liberia and Sierra Leone on their infrastructure challenges with the Institute, spanning the energy sector, roads and ports development. Prior to joining the Institute, Georgina was a political risk and strategy consultant. She holds an MSc in the Political Economy of Development from the School of Oriental and Africa Studies, London, and a BA from the University of Cambridge.
